SHERWYN J. WAYNE, M.D. ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON Dr. Sherwyn Wayne is a Chicago native who earned a B.S. degree in Accelerated Pre-Medical Studies at the University of Illinois in 1958. He remained there to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1962. He returned to the Windy City area to serve his internship at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, and then came to St. Louis University to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Wayne then completed a Fellowship in Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at the famed Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in Los Angeles. He completed additional medical studies at UCLA in Los Angeles Orthopedic Hospital. He began his private practice in Kirkwood in 1967, specializing in lumbar spine surgery and general orthopedics. A dedicated researcher and educator, he is also the inventor of a positioning device for lumbar spine surgery. His hospital appointments include Des Peres Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital of Kirkwood, Missouri Baptist Hospital,and Saint Louis University Hospital. W.CHRIS KOSTMAN,M.D. ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON Dr. Chris Kostman is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in surgery for injuries and conditions of the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Kostman grew up in the St. Louis area and was accepted to the University of Missouri at Kansas City's six year Medical Program, and completed Medical School at the top of his class. He then completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans. He has over ten years experience in orthopedic surgery. He began his private practice in 1997 at Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, Inc. Dr. Kostman specializes in upper and lower extremity injuries including carpal tunnel surgery, total joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, ankle and wrist, as well as other minimally invasive procedures. His hospital appointments include Des Peres Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital of Kirkwood and Missouri Baptist Hospital. He completed his Orthopaedic Residency at the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. Following this he completed an additional Fellowship in the discipline of Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado. During this time he assisted in the team coverage of the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, and United States Alpine Ski Team. Currently, Dr. Farley is the Orthopaedic Surgeon for the St. Louis Steamers professional indoor soccer team as well as an Associate Team Physician of USA Hockey. In addition, he provides team coverage for multiple local high schools and colleges. His hospital appointments include St. Joseph's Hospital-Kirkwood, Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, Des Peres Hospital and Chesterfield Surgery Center.
