Orthopedic Surgeon

“Everyone has a story. By treating each patient as an individual and providing the highest quality personalized medical care in a warm, compassionate environment, I enjoy the privilege of hearing those stories and changing lives. My own story as an orthopedic surgeon began at the age of 10 when I experienced the trauma of losing my right leg in an auto accident and met a young doctor who inspired me to pursue the career that would allow me to influence other people’s lives like he influenced mine.

The original prosthetic leg I was fitted with was made of wood. Since I was a very active child who played multiple sports, I was constantly in and out of the prosthetic office. With the development of the C-leg, I enjoyed a life-changing advancement: walking without thinking about it. My current Genium prosthesis allows me to perform surgery for 10-12 hours, take care of my family and play the occasional round of golf.

As an orthopedic surgeon I continue to fight for my patients so that they can enjoy a similar quality of life—that’s what drives me to remain at the ‘leading edge’ of surgical techniques.”
