My initial attraction to orthopedic surgery began during my medical school training when I saw how the treatment and healing processes impacted patients’ ability to maintain and enjoy physically active lifestyles. Science, technology and medicine are ongoing interests, and I am particularly drawn to the diagnostic aspects of medicine that involve identifying the cause of a specific functional deficit and determining the optimal clinical solution.
As a physician, my first priorities are providing honest, thorough care, managing medical conditions effectively, and efficiently resolving outstanding issues. Restoring a patient’s functionality, productivity and quality of life through the use of my technical skills in surgical intervention provides great personal satisfaction.
Delivering the best possible medical care and influencing positive patient outcomes are my constant goals, and I take great pride in the number of patients who trust me to care for their treatment needs through various life stages and enthusiastically refer family members and friends.
Like many who have demanding careers, I find work-life balance a challenge but do make time to enjoy family, friends, travel and the outdoors. Conservation and wildlife protection are favorite causes.
